A very unusual and stunning formation with of a mix of minerals on a white quartz canvas. This freestanding piece represents a substantial part of the original geode and it is still possible to appreciate the basalt around and at back in its rough state. The edges have been polished to reveal the brown agate underlying the white quartz. Inside there is a beautiful lining of large crystal white quartz, on top of which sits a “cascade” or “waterfall” of brilliant white quartz crystals with an incredible chocolate coloured cuboidal quartz formation itself coated with tiny quartz crystals and pyrite that reflect the light beautifully. It’s very unusual to find a formation like this, and it represents a one of a kind piece. A museum quality piece of a decorative size with an intense sparkle.
