This is a very special and unique hand made large plate from the HOI AN HOARD dated to the mid- to late-15th century. The item belongs to a collection found in the deep sea of Vietnam.
I selected this piece for its beautiful design in blue with a large bird in the centre of the plate surrounded by flower spray. This rare porcelain piece is also very attractive and impactful due to its proportioned large size and shape.
The plate is very delicate and in very good condition (diameter 24cm).What makes this item special and rare is the design - bird design is very unusual in porcelain form the HOI AN HOARD. As the pictures show, this is a genuine an legal piece from the HOI AN with the original inventory tag and unique number.
